Biography
Karen Laws is a British television writer. She has written episodes of several long-running series, including Shameless (2012), EastEnders (2008–2010), Waterloo Road (2013–2015) and Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators (2022). She created and wrote the five-part series 32 Brinkburn Street (2011).
Earlier in her career she contributed to Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (2004–2005) and other programmes such as Casualty, Holby City and Hollyoaks. She trained on an MA in creative writing at Northumbria University after degrees in history and housing, and previously worked in local government.
