Biography
Karen Prell is an American puppeteer and animator. She performed the character Red Fraggle on the television series Fraggle Rock (1983–1987) and has reprised the role in subsequent productions including Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.
Prell puppeteered characters including the Worm, the Junk Lady and Firey 2 in the film Labyrinth (1986). She has contributed to other Jim Henson projects such as The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), A Muppet Family Christmas (1987) and The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992). Later in her career she worked as a computer animator at Pixar on films including A Bug's Life (1998) and Toy Story 2 (1999).
Born in Florida in 1959, Prell grew up in Seattle. She was married to puppeteer Mike Quinn from 1988 until their divorce in 2004.
