Biography
Karena Evans is a Canadian director and actress. Born on 17 December 1995 in Pickering, Ontario, she began her career as an actress with roles in the television series Mary Kills People (2017) as Heather and the film Every Day (2018) as Hannah/A.
She gained recognition as a director of music videos, including Drake's 2018 singles "God's Plan", "Nice for What" and "In My Feelings", as well as Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "Luther" (2025). She was the first woman to receive the Prism Prize's Lipsett Award for music video direction.
Since 2018, Evans has directed episodes of television series including P-Valley (2020), Snowfall (2021), Gossip Girl (2021), Dead Ringers (2023), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024) and Furious (2026).
