Biography
Karin Dor was a German actress. Born Kätherose Derr on 22 February 1938 in Wiesbaden, she died on 6 November 2017 in Munich.
She appeared in numerous German films of the 1960s, including adaptations of Edgar Wallace and Karl May stories often directed by her first husband, Harald Reinl. Her international roles included Helga Brandt in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice (1967) and Juanita de Córdoba in Alfred Hitchcock’s Topaz (1969). She also featured in The Face of Fu Manchu (1965) and The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism (1967).
Dor performed on stage and television into later decades. She was married three times, including to stunt director George Robotham from 1988 until his death in 2007.
