Biography
Karin Neuhäuser is a German actress. She trained at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum, graduating in 1982.
Her career has centred on theatre, with long engagements at the Schlosstheater Moers, Wuppertaler Bühnen, Theater an der Ruhr in Mülheim, Volksbühne Berlin and, from 2009 to 2022, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. She has also directed productions at Schauspiel Frankfurt and Staatstheater Kassel. On screen she first appeared in the television series Rote Erde (1983) and has since taken roles in films including Emma's Bliss (2006), In the Fade (2017) and A Hidden Life (2019), in which she played Rosalia Jägerstätter, as well as episodes of Tatort (2019–2024).
Neuhäuser has received several theatre awards, including multiple Der Faust prizes and the Theaterpreis des Verbandes Deutscher Kritiker.
