Biography
Karin Ugowski is a German actress. She was born Karin Komischke on 11 July 1943 in Berlin. She studied acting at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen „Konrad Wolf“ in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1962 to 1965.
During her studies she appeared in several DEFA fairy-tale films, including Frau Holle (1963), Die goldene Gans (1964) and König Drosselbart (1965). She was a long-term member of the ensemble at the Volksbühne Berlin and has worked in over 80 theatre productions and more than 150 film and television productions. Her later screen credits include the role of Michael's mother in Foxtrot (2017). She has also worked as a narrator and film producer.
