Biography
Karl Davies is an English actor born on 6 August 1982 in Marple, Greater Manchester. He began acting as a child with the Carver Theatre Group and made his professional debut in the early 2000s.
Davies is known for playing Robert Sugden in the ITV soap Emmerdale (2001–2005, 2009), Alton Lannister in Game of Thrones (2012), Lyle Anderson in Kingdom (2007–2009) and Daniel Cawood in the BBC series Happy Valley (2014–2023). His other television credits include Viktor Proskuryakov in Chernobyl (2019), roles in The Tower (2021–2024) and The Bay (2023), and the film Black Sea (2014).
