Biography
Katherine Hilliker was an American film editor and writer. Born Katharine Clark on 25 April 1885 in Tacoma, Washington, she began her career in journalism as a film critic for The New York Morning Telegraph before moving into editing at Universal and later working as a title writer and editor at studios including Select, Goldwyn and Fox.
She frequently collaborated with her husband H.H. Caldwell on titles and editing. Her credits include editor and writer on 7th Heaven (1927), editor on Lucky Star (1929) and City Girl (1930), and titles or adaptation work on Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) and many other silent-era films. Hilliker died on 6 December 1965 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
