Biography

Kathy Cronkite is an American actress and mental health advocate. Born on 5 September 1950 in Washington, D.C., she is the daughter of journalist Walter Cronkite.

Her acting credits include the role of Mary Ann Gifford in the film Network (1976) and a photographer in Which Way Is Up? (1977). She also appeared in The Trial of Billy Jack (1974), Billy Jack Goes to Washington (1977) and episodes of The Waltons.

Cronkite has written books including On the Edge of Darkness: Conversations on Conquering Depression and On the Edge of the Spotlight: Celebrities' Children Speak Out About Their Lives, and has spoken publicly on mental health issues.
