Biography
Katie Swinden is a British television producer. She began her career in script development, working as a script reader at Thames Television and a script editor at the BBC before becoming a producer on series including Spooks (also known as MI-5).
She produced series one and two of Luther (2010–2011) for BBC One and the first series of Peaky Blinders (2013) for BBC Two. Other credits include the single drama Marvellous (2014) and executive producer roles on Guerrilla (2017) and The Eddy (2020). She has also produced later series of Peaky Blinders.
In 2014 Swinden received the ENVY Producer Award at the Women in Film and Television Awards. She is Joint Managing Director at Fifty Fathoms Productions, a label under Tiger Aspect.
