Biography
Katy Scoggin is an American documentary filmmaker who works as a cinematographer, producer and director. She served as cinematographer and co-producer on Laura Poitras’s Citizenfour (2014) and in the same capacities on Risk (2016).
Scoggin made her feature directorial debut with Flood (2025), which she also produced and shot. The film received a Special Mention in International Competition at IDFA in 2025 and premiered on PBS Independent Lens in July 2026. She has worked as a cameraperson on additional documentaries and was a Fulbright Scholar in Berlin.
