Biography
Keff McCulloch (born Kenneth Norman Scott McCulloch, 8 July 1954) is an English composer. He is known for his electronic music contributions to the BBC television series Doctor Who during the late 1980s.
In 1987, producer John Nathan-Turner commissioned him to arrange the Doctor Who theme music for the Seventh Doctor era. The new arrangement, based on the original by Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire, was used from 1987 until the series ended in 1989. McCulloch also composed incidental music for six stories: Time and the Rani, Paradise Towers, Delta and the Bannermen, Remembrance of the Daleks, Silver Nemesis and Battlefield, as well as the later specials Dimensions in Time and Shada.
Alongside his television work, McCulloch has worked as a musician and sound engineer, touring with bands and producing recordings for artists including Acker Bilk, Johnny Logan and Russ Abbot. He appeared on screen as a member of the fictional group the Lorells in the 1987 story Delta and the Bannermen.
