Biography
Keiichi Suzuki (鈴木慶一) is a Japanese composer, musician, singer and record producer. Born in Tokyo on 28 August 1951, he is the son of actor Akio Suzuki. In the 1970s he co-founded the rock band Moonriders and was involved with Hachimitsu Pie.
Suzuki is known for his film scores, including Uzumaki (2000), Tokyo Godfathers (2003), Zatoichi (2003) and Takeshi Kitano's Outrage trilogy (Outrage, 2010; Beyond Outrage, 2012; Outrage Coda, 2017). He has also composed for Okko's Inn (2018) and Saint Young Men (2013). His video-game work includes the soundtracks for Mother (1989) and EarthBound (1994). He has received Japanese Academy Awards for Best Music Score for Zatoichi and Outrage Coda.
