Biography

Keiko Mitsumatsu is a Japanese production designer and art director. She graduated from the Nikkatsu Art Academy and began working in film in the late 1990s.

She is best known for her long collaboration with director Hirokazu Kore-eda, serving as production designer on Nobody Knows (2004), Still Walking (2008), Like Father, Like Son (2013), Our Little Sister (2015), Shoplifters (2018) and Monster (2023). She has also worked frequently with director Miwa Nishikawa. Mitsumatsu received the Excellent Art Award at the 42nd Japan Academy Awards for her work on Shoplifters.
