Biography
Keiko Toda is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer and narrator. Born on 12 September 1957 in Nagoya, she began acting while in fifth grade and moved to Tokyo in 1973 to pursue a career as an idol singer before joining Nachi Nozawa's theatre company.
She is best known for voicing the title character in the long-running children's series Let's Go! Anpanman (1988–present) and for her role as Osono in the Studio Ghibli film Kiki's Delivery Service (1989). Other notable voice work includes Matilda Ajan in Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) and its films, as well as dubbing for numerous Hollywood actresses. In live action she has appeared in series such as Power Office Girls (1998) and won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Supporting Actress for Welcome Back, Mr. McDonald (1997).
