Biography

Keiko Tsushima (津島 恵子) was a Japanese actress. She was born on 7 February 1926 in Nagasaki Prefecture and died on 1 August 2012 in Tokyo.

She is known for her role as Shino in Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai (1954). Other film credits include The Flavor of Green Tea Over Rice (1952) as Setsuko Yamauchi. She appeared in numerous Japanese films from the late 1940s onwards and later worked in television, including the series Sakura (2002) and Kimi ga Jinsei no Toki (1997).

Tsushima's real name was Naoko Mori. She married television executive Ichio Mori in 1957.
