Biography
Keisuke Imamura is a Japanese cinematographer and director. Born in 1988 in Toyama Prefecture, he graduated from the Film Studies Department at Nihon University's Faculty of Fine Arts, specialising in cinematography and sound recording. He began shooting independent films while a student and, after graduating in 2011, apprenticed under KIYO (Kiyokawa Koji) for about two years before debuting as a cinematographer at the age of 24.
Imamura has worked as director of photography on numerous feature films, including Hot Gimmick: Girl Meets Boy (2019), A Family (2021), Hard Days (2023), 18x2 Beyond Youthful Days (2024) and Exit 8 (2025). He made his feature directorial debut with Yan (2019), on which he also served as cinematographer. His credits also include television series such as Last Samurai Standing (2025).
