Biography
Keith Akushie is a British writer, producer and director working in television and film. He began his television career writing on the Channel 4 comedy series Fresh Meat (2011).
He created and wrote the BBC Three series Siblings (2014–2016), which ran for two seasons. Akushie wrote the 2018 film The Festival and contributed to Armando Iannucci’s HBO series Avenue 5 (2020) as writer and co-executive producer. He is writer and executive producer on the 2024 HBO series The Franchise.
His play Hostage won the 2010 Harry Porter Prize. He wrote and directed the Film4-supported short film Rebecca (2019).
