Biography
Ken McCluskey is an Irish actor and musician. He is best known for playing Derek Scully, the bassist in the band, in the 1991 film The Commitments, directed by Alan Parker and adapted from Roddy Doyle's novel.
He had previously performed in bands in Dublin. McCluskey also appeared as Thug #2 in the 1992 film Far and Away. With fellow cast member Dick Massey, he co-founded the touring band The Stars from the Commitments in 1993 and has continued performing with related groups, playing soul music internationally.
