Biography
Ken Solarz is an American writer and producer. Born on 9 October 1953, he began working in television in the 1980s on crime dramas.
He wrote multiple episodes of Miami Vice (1984), including "Hostile Takeover", "Redemption in Blood", "Hard Knocks", "Jack of All Trades" and "Freefall", and served as executive story consultant on 21 episodes. His other early credits include story editor and writer roles on Crime Story (1986–1988) and writer and supervising producer credits on Mancuso, FBI (1989–1990).
Solarz later produced and wrote episodes of CSI: NY (2004) and served as co-executive producer and writer on the Hawaii Five-0 remake (2010). Feature film writing credits include City of Industry (1997), Supercross (2005), Croc (2007) and Bang (2025).
