Biography
Ken Trew was a British costume designer who worked extensively in television. He joined the BBC in 1964 as a dresser and became an assistant designer the following year.
Trew contributed to Doctor Who (1963) across several decades, with credits spanning 1971 to 1989. He designed costumes for stories including Terror of the Autons (1971), Snakedance (1983), The Mysterious Planet (1986), Time and the Rani (1987), Remembrance of the Daleks (1988), Ghost Light (1989), The Curse of Fenric (1989) and Survival (1989), and created the look of the Seventh Doctor. He also worked on Doctor Who: Dimensions in Time (1993).
His other television credits include The Onedin Line (1971), A Very Peculiar Practice (1988), Clarissa (1991) and An Ungentlemanly Act (1992). Trew received a BAFTA nomination for his work.
