Biography
Kene Holliday is an American actor of stage, film and television. Born Kenneth Earl Holliday on 25 June 1949 in Copiague, New York, he studied speech and drama at the University of Maryland. After college he worked with the D.C. Black Repertory Company in Washington before moving to Los Angeles in the mid-1970s.
His early television credits include a guest role as Assistant D.A. Dunn in Kojak (1976). He played Sergeant Curtis Baker in the sitcom Carter Country (1977–1979) and Tyler Hudson, the original private investigator on Matlock (1986–1989). Other appearances encompass The Incredible Hulk (1978), The Philadelphia Experiment (1984), Bulworth (1998) and later episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Holliday has also worked in voice acting, notably as Roadblock in the G.I. Joe animated series. He received a Best Actor award at the 2007 Newport International Film Festival for Great World of Sound. He has been married three times and has two sons.
