Biography
Kengo Shigemura is a Japanese anime editor, also credited as 重村 建吾. He edited the 2016 Kyoto Animation film A Silent Voice: The Movie.
He has edited numerous Kyoto Animation productions, including the television series Violet Evergarden (2018), Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (2017), Sound! Euphonium (2015) and its sequels, Free! (2013) and Beyond the Boundary (2013). His film credits for the studio include Violet Evergarden: The Movie (2020), Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (2019) and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (2010). Earlier work encompasses The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2006) and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! (2012).
Shigemura has frequently collaborated with Studio Gong on editing duties across a range of anime titles.
