Biography
Kenneth Lin is an American playwright and screenwriter. He was born in 1978 in the Bronx, New York, and studied at Cornell University and the Yale School of Drama. He is a Fulbright alumnus and has received awards including the Princess Grace Award, the Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition, and the Cole Porter Prize.
Lin began his television career on the Netflix series House of Cards (2013–2017), where he worked as a writer, story editor and producer; the series received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. His other credits include writing and producing on Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024), Warrior (2019), Sweetbitter (2018), Clarice (2021) and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (2026). He has an overall deal with CBS Television Studios.
His plays, which have been performed internationally, include Po Boy Tango, Kleptocracy and Exclusion.
