Biography

Kenneth Tsang Kong (also credited as Kenneth Tsang or Tsang Kong) was a Hong Kong actor whose career spanned nearly 70 years and more than 200 film roles. He appeared in supporting parts in numerous Hong Kong action and crime films, as well as several Hollywood productions. Tsang died on 27 April 2022 in Hong Kong.

Born in Shanghai, Tsang studied architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, after attending school in Hong Kong. He returned to Hong Kong in the early 1960s and began acting, with early roles in Cantonese films. He gained prominence through collaborations with director John Woo in A Better Tomorrow (1986), A Better Tomorrow II (1987) and The Killer (1989).

Tsang's international credits include The Replacement Killers (1998), Anna and the King (1999), Rush Hour 2 (2001), Die Another Day (2002) as General Moon, and Memoirs of a Geisha (2005). He won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 34th Hong Kong Film Awards in 2015.
