Biography
Kensuke Ushio (born 1 March 1983) is a Japanese composer, rock and EBM musician who performs under the moniker agraph. He is also known as Ushio Kensuke or 牛尾 憲輔. He studied arts and music at university and learned audio editing software Pro Tools. Ushio began his solo career in 2007, releasing electronic music albums that charted in Japan.
He is a member of the Japanese rock band Lama. With the band he released the studio albums New! (2011) and Modanica (2012), both of which appeared on the Japanese Albums Chart.
Ushio has composed scores for numerous anime television series and films. His credits include A Silent Voice: The Movie (2016), Liz and the Blue Bird (2018), Devilman Crybaby (2018), Japan Sinks: 2020 (2020), Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (2021), Chainsaw Man (2022), The Dangers in My Heart (2023) and Dan Da Dan (2024). He has frequently collaborated with directors Naoko Yamada and Masaaki Yuasa, and with animation studio Science Saru.
