Biography
Kessen Tall is a screenwriter and film producer. She co-wrote the screenplay for Timbuktu (2014) with Abderrahmane Sissako, and wrote the scenario for Black Tea (2024). She also served as executive producer on Timbuktu.
Tall was born in 1977 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. She studied in France and has collaborated on projects with her husband, director Abderrahmane Sissako. Timbuktu won the César Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2015.
