Biography
Kevin Coughlin was an American actor. Born John Kevin Barry Coughlin in Inwood, New York, on 12 December 1945, he began his career as a child model and made his television debut at the age of seven on the series Mama, remaining a regular for four years.
Coughlin appeared on Broadway in The Frogs of Spring (1953) and The Square Root of Wonderful (1957). His film roles include Freddie Slater in Storm Center (1956), Billy in The Defiant Ones (1958), Oakie Walters in Happy Anniversary (1959), Billy Cage in Wild in the Streets (1968) and Danny Devlin in The Gay Deceivers (1969). He also had guest roles in series such as Gunsmoke, Combat! and The Fugitive. He studied theatre at Northwestern University from 1963 to 1967.
Coughlin died in Los Angeles on 19 January 1976, aged 30, after being struck by a car.
