Biography

Kevin Drew is a Canadian musician, songwriter and composer. Born in Toronto, he co-founded the indie rock collective Broken Social Scene with Brendan Canning in 1999 and was also a member of the earlier project KC Accidental.

Drew has contributed music to several films. Broken Social Scene provided the score for Half Nelson (2006), and the band’s tracks appear on the soundtrack. He is credited as composer or with original music on Snow Cake (2006), The Tracey Fragments (2007) and It’s Kind of a Funny Story (2010).

He has released solo albums including Spirit If... (2007) and Darlings (2014), and continues to work with Broken Social Scene.
