Biography

Kevin McCollum is an American theatrical booking executive and producer of musical theatre and plays, many on Broadway. Born on 1 March 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was trained at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and earned a master's degree in film producing from the Peter Stark Program at the University of Southern California. He co-founded The Producing Office with Jeffrey Seller in 1996 and later established Alchemation.

McCollum has received three Tony Awards for Best Musical, for Rent (1996), Avenue Q (2004) and In the Heights (2008). His other stage producing credits include the 2009 Broadway revival of West Side Story, The Drowsy Chaperone (2006), Motown the Musical and Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (2011). He also co-founded The Booking Group.

His film work includes serving as producer on the 2021 adaptation of West Side Story and as executive producer on the film versions of Rent (2005) and In the Heights (2021).
