Biography
Kevin McManus is an American filmmaker, writer, director and producer who works regularly with his brother Matthew McManus under the credit The McManus Brothers. He graduated with a BFA from Emerson College and began his career with the 2012 feature Funeral Kings, which premiered at South by Southwest.
McManus wrote and produced episodes of the Netflix series American Vandal (2017), for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series or Movie and a Peabody Award. He contributed story and teleplay credits to two episodes of Cobra Kai (2019) and served as consulting producer on the series. With his brother he wrote and directed the 2021 science-fiction horror film The Block Island Sound and the 2025 feature Redux Redux.
