Biography
Kim Hong-seon is a South Korean film director, screenwriter and producer. He graduated from Ajou University with a degree in English language and literature and began his career as an assistant director on several television series before making his feature debut with Traffickers (2012).
He is known for directing the crime thrillers The Con Artists (2014), The Chase (2017), Metamorphosis (2019) and Project Wolf Hunting (2022), for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 2025 he became the first Asian director to lead a season of the British series Gangs of London, directing four episodes and serving as executive producer. His debut feature won him the Best New Director award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
