Biography
Kim Sung-soo, also known by the stage name 23, is a South Korean composer and music director. He studied at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and began his career as a producer for indie musicians before moving into musical theatre. He has served as music director for productions including the Korean versions of Jesus Christ Superstar and Bernarda Alba.
Sung-soo composed additional music for the Netflix series Squid Game (2021), including the track "Pink Soldiers". He has worked on other projects such as Physical: 100 (2022) and received a Korean Musical Award for Best Music as well as an ASCAP Screen Music Award for his contribution to Squid Game.
