Biography
Kim White is a lighting artist and director of photography at Pixar Animation Studios. She joined the studio in 1997, working on set modelling and lighting for A Bug's Life, and has contributed to lighting on numerous subsequent features.
Her credits include master lighting artist on Toy Story 2 (1999) and Monsters, Inc. (2001), lighting supervisor on Ratatouille (2007), and director of photography – lighting on Toy Story 3 (2010), Inside Out (2015), Cars 3 (2017) and Luca (2021). Earlier in her career she worked at Sierra On-Line on computer games.
White holds a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was born in Georgia and raised in Lakewood, Colorado.
