Biography
Kim Yong-taek (김용택) is a South Korean poet and occasional actor. Born in Imsil, Jeollabuk-do, he trained as a teacher and worked for many years as an elementary school teacher while writing poetry.
He made his literary debut in 1982 and is best known for his Seomjingang River series of poems. In 2010 he appeared in the film Poetry, directed by Lee Chang-dong, playing the poetry teacher.
