Biography
Kimio Kataoka (片岡公生) is a Japanese film producer. He is credited as producer on Battle Royale (2000), directed by Kinji Fukasaku, and its sequel Battle Royale II: Requiem (2003).
Kataoka was born on 16 December 1962 in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture. He began his career with a part-time role at Mifune Productions. Other producing credits include The Ramen Girl (2008). Between 2007 and 2011 he served as a part-time lecturer in the Film Department at the Graduate School of Film and Design, Tokyo University of the Arts.
