Biography
Kinpei Azusa, born Mitsuo Hashimoto on 1 May 1931 in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, was a voice actor who died on 24 May 1997 in Ichikawa, Chiba. He was affiliated with Aoni Production. He received theatre training between the ages of three and six, and at the age of five was given the name Kinzō Azusa. In 1962 he established the coaching foundation Gekidan Geikyō.
Azusa voiced the Archbishop in Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro (1979). His other roles include Mûri in Dragon Ball Z (1989–1996) and Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler (1992), Grandfather Son Gohan in Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku (1990), and the Elder in Fist of the North Star (1984).
