Biography
Kirsty Strain is a Scottish actress. She attended Bannerman High School and Langside College in Glasgow before studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York in 2005, where she trained under Paul Calderón. She remained in New York for three years before returning to work in the UK.
Strain is best known for playing various characters in the BBC Scotland sketch series Burnistoun (2009–2012) and for the recurring role of Angie Warren in the soap River City (2012). Her other television credits include Peggy in Outlander (2017), Trish Hendry in Annika (2021), and roles in Guilt (2019). Film appearances include Ms Wright in Anna and the Apocalypse (2018) and a part in Only You (2019). She has also written and directed short films.
