Biography
Kôichi Kikuta, also credited as Kouichi Kikuta or 菊田 幸一, is a Japanese animator, character designer and episode director. He has worked in key animation, storyboarding and directing roles across numerous television series and films.
Kikuta served as episode director on two episodes of the 2014 series Haikyu!!, and as director on one episode each of Sword Art Online (2012) and Robotics;Notes (2012). He is credited as character designer and supervising animation director on the KONOSUBA – God's blessing on this wonderful world! series (2016–) and its films, including KONOSUBA – God's blessing on this wonderful world! Legend of Crimson (2019) and KONOSUBA – An Explosion on This Wonderful World! (2023). Other credits include key animation on Baccano! (2007) and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: Rebellion (2013).
