Biography

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is an Indian film editor who works primarily in Telugu cinema. He began his career in the late 1970s after training under director Adurthi Subba Rao in Madras, receiving his first opportunity to edit songs for K. Raghavendra Rao's Adavi Ramudu (1977).

He has edited more than one hundred films and maintained a long collaboration with director S. S. Rajamouli on titles including Magadheera (2009), Eega (2012), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017). Other notable credits include Mahanati (2018), Sita Ramam (2022) and Kalki 2898-AD (2024). He has received multiple Nandi Awards for Best Editor.
