Biography
Kwak Sin-ae is a South Korean film producer and chief executive of Barunson Entertainment & Arts Corporation. She is best known as a producer of Bong Joon-ho's Parasite (2019), for which she shared the Academy Award for Best Picture.
She began her career in the mid-1990s as a journalist for the film magazine Kino, later working in planning and marketing at companies including Youth Film, LJ Film and Shin Cine. She joined Barunson in 2010 and became CEO of its film operations in 2015.
Kwak has also produced Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned (2016) and RV: Resurrected Victims (2017). She is married to director Jung Ji-woo.
