Biography
Kyōko Heya is a Japanese production designer and art director. Born in 1954 in Minami Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, she has worked extensively in Japanese film and television since at least the early 1990s.
She is credited as production designer on Battle Royale (2000) and Shall We Dance? (1996), and has contributed art direction or production design to films including Maborosi (1995), When the Last Sword Is Drawn (2003), Suspect X (2008), Sweet Bean (2015) and A Bride for Rip Van Winkle (2016). Her credits also include Dreams (1990) in the art department.
