Biography
Langston Uibel is a German-British actor. He was born on 4 February 1998 in London to a German mother and a Jamaican father, and moved with his family to Berlin in 2006. He completed his Abitur at a bilingual English-German school in Berlin and pursued acting rather than university.
Uibel began acting as a child and appeared in supporting roles in films including Hanni & Nanni 3 (2013), Sanctuary (2015) and High Society (2017). He is known for television series such as Dogs of Berlin (2018) as Raphael Bou’Penga, Unorthodox (2020) as Axmed, How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) (2019–2021) as Joseph, Isi & Ossi (2020) as Finn and Hijack (2023) as Colin. In 2023 he played Felix in Christian Petzold’s Afire, which won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival, and made his professional theatre debut in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Vienna’s Burgtheater.
