Biography
Lansing C. Holden was an American film director and production designer. Born in Brooklyn in 1896, he trained as an architect at Princeton University and served as a pilot in the First World War.
Holden co-directed the adventure film She (1935) with Irving Pichel. He worked as colour designer on The Garden of Allah (1936) and as production designer on A Star Is Born (1937). His final credit was directing the short documentary Pow Wow (1938). He died in a plane crash in Tennessee in 1938.
