Biography
Lara Macgregor is a New Zealand actor and director. She trained in acting in New York City and holds a postgraduate diploma in directing from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney. She has directed more than 40 theatre productions and served as artistic director of the Fortune Theatre in Dunedin and associate artistic director at the Court Theatre in Christchurch.
Her screen credits include the role of Deborah in the feature film Bad Behaviour (2023), Cassandra Roberts in Darkest Light (2023), and Manager in Evil Dead Burn (2026). She has also appeared in the Netflix series Clickbait (2021) and One of Us Is Lying (2022), as well as in Shortland Street.
