Biography
Larry Bryggman is an American actor. Born on 21 December 1938 in Concord, California, he trained at the American Theatre Wing in New York after attending City College of San Francisco. He made his off-Broadway debut in 1962.
Bryggman is best known for playing Dr John Dixon on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 1969 to 2010, a role that earned him two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. His film credits include ...And Justice for All (1979), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) as Chief Walter Cobb, and Spy Game (2001). He has appeared in numerous stage productions and received Tony Award nominations for featured actor roles in Picnic (1994) and Proof (2001), as well as two Obie Awards.
