Biography
Rickard Wirén is a Swedish production designer and prop master. Born Lars Rickard Wirén on 1 July 1969 in Simrishamn, he began working in set design while involved in student theatre in Lund, including Jesperspexet and the 1994 carnival film Angst.
He has collaborated frequently with Anders Jansson and Johan Wester on the comedy series Hipp Hipp!, for which he served as production designer and prop master on stage shows and the 2006 Christmas special Itzhaks julevangelium. Wirén worked as a prop master and set dresser on several Wallander films from 2005 and as standby art director on the Arn films (2007–2008). He contributed to production design on the Swedish-Danish series The Bridge (2011), including episodes in later seasons, and has designed for reality series such as Expedition Robinson.
