Biography
László Szabó is a Hungarian actor, film director and screenwriter. Born on 24 March 1936 in Budapest, he left Hungary in 1956 and settled in Paris, where he began appearing in films from 1959.
He is known for roles in French New Wave films, including appearances in several works by Jean-Luc Godard such as Vivre sa Vie (1962), Le Petit Soldat (1963), Pierrot le Fou (1965), Alphaville (1965) and Made in U.S.A. (1966). Other credits include Weekend (1967), The Confession (1970), The Last Metro (1980), Full Moon in Paris (1984), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) and Ismael's Ghosts (2017). He has also directed and written films in France and Hungary.
