Biography
Laura Solari was an Italian actress. Born Laura Camaur in Trieste in 1913, she began her screen career in the mid-1930s after being discovered at La Scala in Milan. She appeared in around thirty films between 1936 and 1969, as well as in theatre in Trieste and on Italian television.
Her credits include early Italian productions such as Regina della Scala (1937) and later international and genre films. She played Hennessy's Secretary in William Wyler's Roman Holiday (1953). Solari retired in 1969 and died in Bellinzona, Switzerland, in 1984.
