Biography
Laura Terruso is an American director, screenwriter and producer. She studied filmmaking in the graduate programme at New York University.
She directed an episode of the Apple TV+ series Dickinson (2021), the Netflix film Work It (2020) and About My Father (2023) for Lionsgate. She co-wrote and co-produced Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015), and directed the features Fits and Starts (2017) and Good Girls Get High (2018).
Terruso grew up in the Dyker Heights neighbourhood of Brooklyn with no family connections to the film industry.
